2020 marks the 125th anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen’s discovery of X-rays. A discovery that changed the world and more profoundly the view of the human body. And we’ve been there from the very beginning. Only 3 days after the discovery was announced, we began building our very first X-ray tube for medical applications. Since then we’re continuously driving X-ray innovation shaping the future of healthcare to help humans live healthier and longer.

Siemens crediting themselves on every x-ray innovation since 1895?….
The medical applications of x-rays were immediately apparent upon their discovery. Seems like a bold statement that Siemens made the first tubes "designed specifically for medical use". What made these tubes different from any other x-ray tube of the time?
"In 2005 we announced the first CT scanner? Godfrey Hounsfield, a biomedical engineer contributed enormously towards the diagnosis of neurological and other disorders by virtue of his invention of the computed axial tomography scan for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1979.
Surely a giant company Siemens should be giving credit where credit is due.
On 8 Nov.1895 German Physics Professor WILHELM RONGTEN discovered x – rays accidentally while testing whether Cathode rays could pass through glass.
