Works like a charm, very quiet.☞☞>share4.photo/H2KGenerator?l12l  works great for out door fun, recommend for any DJ's can power two 550 Watt speakers and mixer without an issue. Started with one pull for the first time. Adding oil is a bit clumsy, you need a long neck flexible funnel.

How can we make the eu2000 also run with home piped in utility natural gas? See the kit is labeled tri fuel but has no details on third fuel that is possibly natural gas.

I really don't understand why america runs 110v, it needs so much more copper
Example:
2500w AUS = 10Amp cable at 250vac
2500w in America 20.8Amp at 120vac

meaning to make a motor for Australia it would cost 2x as less (for the expensive copper)
then it would in america?, not only to mention you'd have more voltage drop off..

and then you have those silly 240V outlets JUST for dryers etc…. meaning EVEN more copper from the Grid transformer to the home.

Why did you push the primer button after the engine rpm came down? I did hear it was not running smooth, until you did push the prime button. In every day life it would not be desireable to push this buton all the time if the load changes.

Also, has anyone ever mentioned about break in period on the engine. It is not good to break in on LP or NG. I think what you did as…running it on gasoline is what I have heard is the best for the engine.

Kenny, have you had any issues when you go from running on gasoline and then to propane? Have you found that ALL of the gas is out of the carb bowl and lines? I am a little worried of any residual gasoline left in any of the components (lines, jets, bowl, etc) Any advice would be appreciated sir.

I found this interesting with regards to propane conversion. Gasoline has an Ignition Point of 475–536 °F. When a generator is manufactured to run solely on gasoline these temperatures are taken into consideration and the engine components are made to handle these temperatures.

Propane (LP) has an Ignition Point of 920-1020°F and Natural Gas (NG) has an Ignition Point of 900–1500°F. These higher temperatures will cause damage over time on any “gas only” powered engine.

Of course there is a law against this. Any change to the original configuration of a certified Honda engine is a potential violation of the Clean Air Act prohibition against tampering (40 CFR §1068.101(b)(1)). The tampering prohibition is important because poorly designed and installed modifications can increase emissions.

• The Clean Air Act prohibits anyone from removing or rendering inoperative any device or design element installed on engines in compliance with regulations. These actions are considered tampering, which carries a civil penalty up to $37,500 for each engine or equipment in violation.

I am pretty sure that a propane conversion will void your warranty.

Your a brave S.O.B. for modifying your new Honda. Hats off to ya. BTW…. What about engine damage due to the modifications. I read mixed reviews.

Do you loose Eco throttle feature with propane conversion? If so, then this seems like a terrible generator to convert to LPG.

Thanks for the info.  What fittings did you use to run from your 120-gal propane tank to the QD?  I'm trying to run a from a Fisher Controls R652 2nd stage (1/8" male) takeoff my propane tank to either a 3/8" or standard "grill type" disconnect.

Also see Mark1Jordan1's YouTube video on the same subject. He explains in greater detail the importance of the double regulator system and the cut-off valve that KUSMC shows in the line near the multi-fuel carburator.

Very informative video. I like that he showed us the contact info of the company he used: Alternate Fuel Technologies, Inc., AKA PropaneCarbs.com, the people that supplied the multi-fuel carb that he installed on his otherwise STANDARD ISSUE Honda EU 2000i, inverter technology generator.
Just be aware that, if the video becomes, for some reason, unavailable in future, call Richard C. Rowe at 1-877-425-8383; PropaneCarbs.com, a supplier of pure equipment protein! (the name notwithstanding). Just my little joke [Protein / Carbs: get it?!]. OK, enough!

Great video.  How has it been running all this time?  Does the mounting of the demand regulator make it difficult to change the oil?  Looks like it would.

Robert thanks for some outstanding videos. Where are you located, reminds me of where my brother lived (Emmitsburg MD). Love all the land. PS approx on long would the EU2000 run for using 120 gallons of propane?

You might want to have a piece of plywood under the deck to set the generator on. It's cooling and engine air are sucked up through the bottom. Having it off of the dirt and grass keeps the air filter and the whole inside of the generator a lot cleaner over time.

Awesome Video! Thanks for taking the time to post and explain!!! Considering buying a Travel Trailer to go across country (possible Alaska too) and it has been suggested to get a generator. Being that 2 20lb Propane tanks are already with trailer, cuts out the problem of carrying containers of Gas. Thanks Again for the posting Ya'll…..
